About Dr. Nik


Nicole Snell, Ph.D, LPC, NCC

Licensed Professional Counselor, Supervisor, National Board Certified Counselor. Specializing in Family, Adult, Child and Adolescent Counseling

Dr. Nik received her Ph.D in Counselor Education and Supervisor and ED.S in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of South Carolina and my B.A in Sociology from Columbia College.  She is a multi-service private practice of therapy, training, coaching, consulting, and supervision.  Dr. Nik is the Founder of Family Matters, LLC and is recognized for her broad application of methods and concepts of the integration of family systems in therapy and my strong teaching, leadership in professional organization, and clinical skills.

As a certified trainer/parent facilitator of several rewarding, research-based parenting modules, Dr. Nik has conducted many lectures, presentations and seminars.  Dr. Nik has extensive experience working with adolescents and adult chemical dependency in intensive outpatient and residential substance treatment programs.  In addition, she has worked with group homes for children, families, foster care, adoption.  As a family advocate, Dr. Nik enjoys helping people to enhance their family dynamics, communication skills, life occurrences and relational issues in individual, family, marital and group counseling.
